A Champion of Education

The fine jewelry industry is built upon the talent of everyday jewelers. Jewelers of America offers numerous programs and opportunities for jewelers to take their education and careers to higher levels. 

Scholarships 

Jewelers can apply for various scholarships throughout the year. JA's Scholarship Program—exclusive to members—covers education from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA), Diamond Council of America (DCA), the American Gem Society (AGS) and Jewelers of America's own Bench Certification. 
 
Additionally, the Seymour & Evelyn Holtzman Bench Scholarship is available to students enrolled in jewelry or metalsmithing programs at an accredited college, university, or training school, aiming to bring new talent to the industry.  More about scholarships >

Emerging Jewelers Accelerator Program (EJAP)

EJAP was launched in 2023 in partnership with the Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC) to provide new jewelry retailers the resources and education to have a successful business. The program consists of a series of workshops hosted by leading industry experts and grant funds to ensure jewelers leave the program with a wealth of knowledge, an uplifting community and a confident mindset. The Impact Initiative

Created in 2025, the Impact Initiative focuses on providing essential programing and funding to other industry organizations. The funds support projects ranging from enhancing ethical practices and environmental responsibility to advancing innovation and education among jewelry professionals. Jewelers Relief Fund

Natural disasters are unpredictable and can devastate a community in an instant. Jewelers of America, along with our affiliate Diamond Council of America (DCA), open the Jewelers Relief Fund to collect donations to support the industry in times of need. The fund reopens in real-time as needs arise and are distributed to our industry peers to aid in rebuilding their businesses.
